Gabe Scarnato (Class of 1969): I am a 100 % aervice connected disabled combat veteran I recived the navy cross and the president unit citation for valor along with two purple hearts with clusters for injuries recieved from a fire fight and a k nife fight and also while bringing three of my men asure from oue PBR which is a River Patrol Boat that had been blown too bits from a mortor hit, I swam the men to safety even though I was hit myself. I spent two years in the navy hospital at NAS Jax Florida. And recieved my awards at a ceramony on the U.S.S. Albany CG-10 in mayport navy station 1973. I setteled in Jacksonville Florida and opended National Auto Brokers in 1975 which became a very large buy here pay here car lot finance company, and expanded it to 16 locations in the Jacksonville area. And when my headache's became too much to handle I sold the company and compleatly retired. And moved to Palm Coast in 1993. Then one year later I was given custady of my grandson and since then it has been Devin and me. And my little yorkie dog Rosie that live in my 5,365 sq.ft home
